Enum Class Interpolation

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<Interpolation>
codedraw.images.Interpolation
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<Interpolation>, Constable

public enum Interpolation extends Enum<Interpolation>
Interpolation defines how drawn images are upscaled and downscaled. For more details see Wikipedia Bicubic Interpolation and Wikipedia Image Scaling.
  • Enum Constant Details

    • NEAREST_NEIGHBOR

      public static final Interpolation NEAREST_NEIGHBOR
      When increasing the size of an image the nearest neighbor is picked to color a pixel. Sharpness of edges is preserved but images can look very jagged.
    • BILINEAR

      public static final Interpolation BILINEAR
      Bilinear interpolation interpolates pixel values via linear equations. Bilinear reduces contrast and makes images appear less sharp.
    • BICUBIC

      public static final Interpolation BICUBIC
      Bicubic interpolation interpolates pixel using a cubic equation. Bicubic interpolation usually looks pretty good and smooth, but is slow.
  • Method Details

    • values

      public static Interpolation[] values()
      Returns an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared.
      Returns:
      an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared
    • valueOf

      public static Interpolation valueOf(String name)
      Returns the enum constant of this class with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this class. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)
      Parameters:
      name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
      Returns:
      the enum constant with the specified name
      Throws:
      IllegalArgumentException - if this enum class has no constant with the specified name
      NullPointerException - if the argument is null
